Happy International Women’s Day

Every year on March 8th, the world pauses to recognize the incredible achievements and undeniable impact of women. At Kritagyata Trust, International Women’s Day is more than just a date on the calendar; it is a vital reminder of our ongoing mission to uplift, support, and advocate for equality.

This year, our message is simple yet profound: Empower • Inspire • Lead.

Interntional womens day

We are taking today to celebrate the strength, courage, and contributions of women everywhere. From the mothers nurturing the next generation, to the women leading change in our local communities, your resilience shapes our world for the better.

However, celebration must also be met with action. True empowerment comes from providing resources, education, and safe spaces for women to thrive.

From Faded Walls to Colorful Dreams: Transforming a Rural Government School in Raichur

In rural India, a school is more than just a building. It is a place where confidence grows, curiosity begins, and young dreams quietly take shape. Yet, many government schools in rural areas still function in spaces that do not reflect the potential of the children inside them.

At the Nagarabenchi Government School in rural Raichur, Karnataka, this was once the reality. Faded walls and worn-out classrooms made learning harder than it needed to be. The children brought enthusiasm every day, but the environment needed care and attention.

That is where Kritagyata Trust stepped in.

A School Painting Initiative with Purpose

Under the Vidyaspoorthi rural education initiative, Kritagyata Trust carried out the school painting and renovation of Nagarabenchi Government School. What started as a simple painting effort became a meaningful transformation.

Today, the school welcomes students into clean, colorful classrooms that feel safe, positive, and inspiring. Teachers have noticed renewed energy in classrooms, and children now walk into school with pride and excitement.

This transformation highlights how school infrastructure development plays a crucial role in strengthening rural education.

Why School Environment Matters in Education

Education is shaped not only by textbooks and teachers, but also by the environment in which learning happens. A supportive school environment can:

  • Improve student attendance

  • Increase focus and classroom participation

  • Build dignity and self-confidence

  • Encourage respect for shared spaces

For rural government schools, even small improvements can create long-lasting impact.

Collective Impact Through CSR, Donors, and Volunteers

This initiative became possible through collective effort and shared responsibility. CSR partners, donors, volunteers, and well-wishers came together with a common belief—that rural children deserve learning spaces that support their growth.

At Kritagyata Trust, we continue to work towards transforming rural schools across Karnataka and beyond. Many classrooms are still waiting for this kind of change.

Continuing the Journey

The transformation of Nagarabenchi Government School is just one step in a much larger journey. Across rural India, countless children are waiting for learning environments that nurture confidence, curiosity, and hope.

If you believe in education for all and want to support meaningful change, you can be part of this mission.

International Volunteer Day: Celebrating the Power of Helping Hands and Hopeful Hearts

International Volunteer Day is a reminder that meaningful change begins with ordinary people who choose to help. At Kritagyata Trust, volunteers are the heartbeat of our mission. Their time, skills, and compassion fuel our efforts in strengthening education, child nutrition, school development, and community awareness across Karnataka.

Lululemon Volunteers & Kritagyata Trust Promote Hygiene Awareness in Schools

At Kritagyata Trust, we believe that true change begins with awareness. When young minds are given knowledge and tools for healthier living, they carry those lessons with them for life—and often share them with their families and communities.

Recently, we had the privilege of partnering with the dedicated volunteer team from Lululemon, who conducted engaging sessions on personal hygiene at two government schools in North Bangalore.

Lululemon CSR initiatives

Why Personal Hygiene Matters

For many children, schools are not just centers of learning but also spaces where they gain life skills that shape their future. Personal hygiene is one such vital life skill. It influences not just health, but also self-confidence, dignity, and overall well-being. By addressing this topic early, we ensure students develop habits that prevent illness and promote healthier lifestyles.

The Sessions

The sessions led by Lululemon volunteers went beyond being merely informative. They were interactive, supportive, and designed to resonate with students. Through discussions and activities, the children learned about:

  • The importance of regular self-care routines.

  • How healthy habits build resilience and confidence.

  • Maintaining personal dignity in everyday life.

The safe and encouraging environment helped students open up, ask questions, and leave with practical knowledge they can apply immediately.

Partners in Progress

We are deeply grateful to Lululemon for joining hands with us in this effort. Their time, energy, and commitment to empowering youth make them true partners in progress. Initiatives like these also highlight the importance of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in shaping stronger, healthier communities.

How You Can Contribute

At Kritagyata Trust, we continue to build meaningful collaborations that go beyond academics and nurture the holistic development of children. There are several ways you can support:

Celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi with Devotion and Responsibility

Ganesh Chaturthi is a festival that brings families, communities, and hearts together in devotion to Lord Ganesha — the remover of obstacles and the harbinger of wisdom. At Kritagyata Trust, we join hands with you in celebrating this auspicious occasion, while also reflecting on the responsibility we hold toward future generations.

Eco-Friendly Celebrations

Traditionally, Ganesh idols made with plaster of Paris and chemical paints have had long-lasting effects on our rivers and aquatic life. With each immersion, toxic substances seep into the water, harming fish, plants, and the delicate balance of ecosystems.

This year, we encourage everyone to welcome Ganesha into their homes with eco-friendly idols made from clay and natural colors. These idols dissolve harmlessly in water, leaving no trace of pollution behind. By choosing such alternatives, we protect not only the environment but also the health and well-being of our children.

 Building a Greener Tomorrow

Kritagyata Trust works tirelessly to provide children with education and opportunities that can brighten their future. Just as education shapes young minds, sustainable choices shape the world they will inherit. Celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi with devotion and responsibility is one small but powerful step toward building a greener tomorrow.

Our Wish for You

On this Ganesh Chaturthi, may Lord Ganesha bless you with wisdom, compassion, and happiness. Let us welcome Him not only into our homes but also into our hearts — with love for nature, respect for life, and a vision for a sustainable future.
